When I started Trans World Tribe back in 2014, it was always the intent to write hard edged metal with a prog vibe. However, Staci had only recorded vocals once before, as she came from a church choir background and singing solo was something she only did at home (or once, at a baseball game, singing the U.S. national anthem), so we decided to test the waters with a track that was at once easy as well as challenging, because of Ann Wilson's awesome range. We knew Staci could handle it, but with me half a world away, she would be left to her own devices in recording her parts. She came through, as I had expected, in stellar form. There's not a lot I can say besides the incontrovertible fact she is an awesome vocalist, albeit one who chose to give priority to her family and career, which is understandable.

While it was first presented under the Trans World Tribe banner, this ballad has nothing common with the type of music I write for TWT, so when I remixed the track, which was recorded in the Spring of 2014, I decided to put this new version here as a TPOA track,together with all the other songs that don't fit either Ahrayeph or TWT.
You could visit here sometime in the future and find a funk track, or something acoustic next to what's already been released. That's why this page is called 'The Twisted Psyche Of ARF' : anything goes. And so does this cover...

The Twisted Psyche Of ARF Belgium

The Twisted Psyche Of ARF came about organically, as a side project for goth rock band Ahrayeph's mastermind Raf, in which he could live out his more schizophrenic and eclectic love for music, other than his main staple.

So whenever the mood strikes him, anything goes, from blues to alternative takes on electronic music and 60's pop, and it doesn't stop there. And it all lands here.
